What is going on in a drawing?

Before I start with a drawing, I have already made up that picture in my mind.
The complete drawing is finished by the time I start with it. All that is left to me now is to
put it on paper! When I start to draw, I work from my heart and soul. Because the
drawing is already created in my mind, I can give it the extra touch it needs to be a
"drawing, which is alive" A lot is going on inside of me when I am behind my table and
after every session I'm completely done, tired and empty. When I am finished,
the message in that drawing is one of its own and that will be there forever.
For me, a drawing is a representation of my heart and soul. Some of these drawings
seem very realistic and look like "a nice picture." However, consider that if you draw
in a more profound way, you can feel more.
Composition and colours can be important and so is the way that the elements are
placed. All this together can be part of the healing process for the person who is
looking at it.

Here are some explanations of what colours can do: On a dark, rainy day, everything
is gray, a picture on the wall, depicting a war scene, or many dark parts, will do no
good to your inner self. A picture of a beach scene, or one with happy bright colours,
however, will. These drawings will tell you a complete story in the way they are made
and how the artist has tried to put a message into his drawings. A simple poster
always looks cold. It is a copy of a "perfect looking picture" and it will never contain
the Universal energy. Because there is no heart in that poster, no soul, it is only a piece
of paper printed with the brightest colours available. However, it's not only the colours,
which are important, there is more.

My drawings have their own heart and soul. A drawing does not always come from the
inside of the creator. Many "artists" call themselves artists, because they think that they
are creating. This is the point: You can feel it when a real artist is working, or, when
someone is only placing charcoal or paint on canvas.

A real artist works, feels and expresses himself, and his work looks like a piece that
has been taken straight from his heart and soul. The work does not only exist as a
complete series of drawings made just for the money! Let your heart and soul guide
you and put that on paper or canvas. That will make you a real artist!
